History of teddy bear

Last nite, we went to teddy bear hunting ... Actually, i requested him to buy for me a new Chubby. I dont really need as big as Chubby. Just don't want to be left alone this friday nite ... hehehhe .... actually who need a reasons to buy a teddy bear rite? Unfortunately for us... there is no cute teddy bear at the store... Tonite, our hunt will continue to bigger store . .

Last nite also my beloved teddy bear asked me... why many people like teddy bear and why it being called teddy bear.Luckily, i've done my research about it. The left picture on top is a german teddy bear created in 1954. To share it with you, these are 2 different version how this cute toy been called teddy bear:

First version:

The origins of the teddy bear are not certain, but one theory goes as follows:Theodore Roosevelt, whose nickname was "Teddy", enjoyed big game-hunting. According to one legend, the teddy bear received its birth at Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. To cheer Theodore Roosevelt after an unsuccessful day of hunting, Hotel Colorado maids presented him with a stuffed bear pieced together with scraps of fine material. Later, when he did bag a bear, his daughter Alice admired it saying, "I will call it Teddy." The term caught on.

Second Version:
From teddy bear museum, maybe this is more trusted version.

In November 1902 Theodore ‘Teddy’ Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States, was hunting in Mississippi. The President failed to make a kill so his hosts caught and tethered a bear, presenting it to the President as a sitting target. Naturally the President refused, uttering the immortal words, ‘Spare the bear! I will not shoot a tethered animal.’ Clifford Berryman drew a cartoon of the scene, which was published in the Washington Post.

That same month Brooklyn shopkeepers Morris and Rose Michtom made a soft bear toy, which they named ‘Teddy’s Bear’ and displayed in their window with a copy of the cartoon. America went bear mad almost overnight, the Michtoms went on to make their fortune with the Ideal Novelty and Toy Company and President Roosevelt had found a highly effective political mascot.

Watch out!! Pearl maniac in da house

We just came back from our holiday. It was soooo nice... except for the uncomfortable bed and airasia stupidness!! The beautiful beaches, delicious seafood and of course...lot of pearls... everywhere you see... people are selling pearl brooches, necklace and many other things..just name it... they have it... I finally get to buy a necklace and bangle customized to my preferences... teddy bear chose the color scheme and the rest is totally up to me... really love it . . . its made of geryish pearl with some crystal... Luckily teddy bear were there, if not I'm gonna spend every single dollar to bought pearl items... Yeah..i really loves pearl... say what ever you want...but I'm a pearl maniac.. especially the brooches . . .unfortunately ...they did not sell a pearl teddy bear ... this is a picture called pearl diva ... hehehe

During our stay there, we rent a car and managed to visit a few interesting places... what i like most is when we visited the crocodile farm... trust me...they have the biggest (sizes n numbers)collection of croc n aligator in malaysia . . thats my personal opinion lor... we also managed to see the great sabah warrior monsopiad village and visited the highest peak in malaysia - mount kinabalu. how ever, the weather were not sooo kind to us... the heavy rain had make it impossible for us to see the peak or the mountain.. but its okay...at least i've been there . .. during our visit..i make this ridiculous idea...want to climb mount kinabalu before the age of 40? sound impossible rite? Teddy bear actually laugh at me..hehhe

Okay..back to our main focus here - my teddy bear. this friday teddy bear gonna have his appraisal . .. good luck teddy bear! I'm sure you had done a very excellence job this year . . . Oh yeah... teddy bear still had a problem with his toe... we were thinking to go for check up and do x-ray . . . i hope everything is ok and no broken bone ( thats what teddy bear think). What i think is that he need a new pair of shoe . . . and lots of exercise..

Today, while browsing the net , i saw this very interesting article written by Robert Frank. I summarized his shocking finding. What do you think about this scenario? I think it does happened in Malaysia, but the numbers will be way below the statistic.

Marrying for love ...... of money

According to a survey by Prince & Associates, a Connecticut-based wealth-research firm, the average "price" that men and women demand to marry for money these days is $1.5 million.
The survey polled 1,134 people nationwide with incomes ranging between $30,000 to $60,000 (squarely in the median range for nationwide incomes). The survey asked: "How willing are you to marry an average-looking person that you liked, if they had money?"

Fully two-thirds of women and half of the men said they were "very" or "extremely" willing to marry for money. The answers varied by age: Women in their 30s were the most likely to say they would marry for money (74%) while men in their 20s were the least likely (41%).

Women aren't the only ones with the gold-digging impulse. In the Prince & Associates study, 61% of men in their 40s said they would marry for money. Ms. Smock says that as men get older, they become more comfortable with women being the bread-winners.

The matrimonial price tag varies by gender and age. Asked how much a potential spouse would need to have to be money-marriage material, women in their 20s said $2.5 million. The going rate fell to $1.1 million for women in their 30s, and rose again to $2.2 million for women in their 40s. Ms. Smock and Russ Alan Prince, Prince & Associate's founder, both attribute the fluctuation to the assumption that thirty-something women feel more pressure to get married than women in their 20s, so they are willing to lower the price. By their 40s, women are more comfortable being independent, so they're willing to hold out for more cash.

Men have cheaper requirements. In the Prince survey, their asking price overall was $1.2 million, with men in their 20s asking $1 million and men in their 40s asking $1.4 million.

Douglas Freeman, a tax and estates attorney in California who works with wealthy families, says the men's numbers are lower because they would feel threatened by women worth several million dollars. "The men aren't going to say they want $10 million, because they wouldn't be comfortable with a woman who's worth so much more than they are," he says.

Whatever the case, the prices for both men and women seem surprisingly low, given the new landscape of wealth. While $1 million or $2 million may sound like a lot to people making $30,000, it's hardly enough to transform someone's life or make them "rich" by contemporary billionaire standards. No one in the survey quoted a price of more than $3 million.

Of course, when the mercenary marriage proves disappointing, there's always divorce. Among the women in their twenties who said they would marry for money, 71% said they expected to get divorced -- the highest of any demographic. Only 27% of men in their 40s expected to divorce.

Says Mr. Prince: "For these women, it's just another step on their journey to the good life. They want to be paid what they think they're worth and then move on."

This week has been a very inactive week... nothing much to share . . . Teddy bear were sick almost of the time. And early this morning he had to send something to his boss. Unfortunately for us...there is problem with my Vee (our nick name for our vios). At the end..we had to spend few hundreds to fix it... Here goes my budget for our holiday... waaaa ..

I think I need a new hobby or new activities so that i won't be this boring everyday . . . or maybe i should bought a cat . . . and i can named it Bumblebee... but i love greyish cat compare to orange. But who cares rite? It just another cute cat name . . . . hehehhe

Imagine, a cat and a teddy bear living under one roof... Its gonna be very interesting!!!!

Medey..medey . .. teddy bear is sick again

Today, teddy bear came back early after visiting the clinics . . . I really glad about it but this feeling doesn't last long . . . After complaining about his headache and pain in the throat, he told me today that his BP is 190... Can you believe that? IT above normal hypertension rate . . . The doctor also surprised to read the measurement... Others might have fainted with that rate. . . Hmm... this really make me worried about him . Maybe this due to his busy schedule lately, coming back late and lack of sleep.

From now on, drastic action from me. .. No more fast food for at least a month and he only can eat tasteless vegetable soup at nite. What make me worry now is his breakfast and lunch time. With his friend who i bet dont have high BP problem and I'm not around to monitor his eating . . His BP gonna stay there for sometime . . .

FYI, teddy bear love to eat almost anything . . . His habit do really cause harm to his health . . . Even though I really want to monitor his habit but sometimes I can't say no to his request . . . Especially when he make his cute teddy bear face . . . Tomorrow, I'm gonna forced him to the gym... no more WOW this week until his bp is down again . . . I plan to stock our fruits and vegetables especially star fruit for him . . . Oh my, really not in the mood to go to my training class today . . .

Today, while cleaning up our study room, i saw a card that was given to me on my birthday from my tedd bear. it written:

Reading those card make me realise that how lucky I am to have my teddy bear as my husband. There are a lot of women out there that suffering in silence and become a slave of their loved one. Even though there is some time that i wish my teddy bear could change his attitude but I don't think we gonna be this happy if he is some one else. A marriage need both people to make it happy and ever lasting . . When only one person is eager to make it happened, it is really a sign that you have a very important decisions to made. But one thing to remember and consider in making this important decisions. Men dan women expressed their love and care differently. And as human we can't read other's mind . . . the best way is to ask and seek the truth in their eyes when they say it. Yes, I'm not a marriage counselor but i do believe honesty is the best recipe for happier marriage.

The Latest Teddy Bear Character

As I mention in my last blog... my teddy bear had create an evil and not so good looking character , named Kawkawmoo if I'm not mistaken . .. Its a combination of a cow and human ... Honestly, the cow picture above is 1000% more cute than his character . . . Now, as for the earlier character . .. a male and female oen is almost forgotten by teddy bear . . . Teddy bear, how can you catch up with yur friends if your keep changing your characters . .. hmm... oh ya.. one of his officemate came to our house last friday and i managed to asked him about his achievement in WOW . .. Guess what, he's at level 70 and still waiting for my teddy bear to catch up in order to do quest together . . . And FYI he's still single and cute too... the only thing is that his love is to WOW and work... too bad for all nice gals outside there ... Luckily, i managed to get married to teddy bear before he became WOW obsessor ( is there any such words?? hehehe dont really care) .

Today, teddy bear and I spend our time to watch Bee Movie. . . not a great movie but just a nice one to release your mind. We also plan to watch Golden Compass but to lazy to go out. I bet the queue gonna be very long. Even though, one of teddy bear relative were one of the actor in that movie... yeah, the white bear . . and he look so strong compare to my cute teddy bear. . .

My teddy bear broke his promise twice regarding this blog . . . So, if you reading this blog teddy bear... please fulfill your promise this time . . . To end this blog today, I leave you with these pictures. ..

Teddy bear in-charge again

This week, we had our discusion about where to spend our christmas holiday together . . . as usual, our discusion will end without any fix decision . .. How ever, to my suprise teddy bear finally make his mind and finalized our holiday trip . . . muahh..muahhh teddy bear.... Really love you. . So today, I make all the arrangement because teddy bear always came back late today . . and he look very tired and went to sleep early without playing his online game. Poor him . . I'm really looking forward to our holiday coz it seems soo long we did not go for our holiday . . i'm going to a new state that I never go before and planned to buy a lot of pearl . . yes, I love pearl brooches . . .

FYI, teddy bear already continue his journey in WOW... he got a new character . . . I hate that character coz its of his look..it look like a cow combine with other animals which i'm now sure what . . . I prefer the old character... the women named...ceasar or what ...I'm not sure how to spell it correctly... for those who are playing the same game and in gorgonash server (am i correct?) please feel free to find my teddy bear in there . . . hehehhe .... and please dont kill her coz my teddy bear will really pissed of when she got killed my others . . . but that one of the way to stop him from playing that nite . .

Oh ya... recently I told my teddy bear that i missed my old teddy bear... the real one . . . and something hit my mind . . . My old teddy bear is named Chubby not Tubby as i mentioned before . . . Tubby is a name given to some one... I also wonder why i get confused . . . And also successfully persuade teddy bear to buy for me a huge teddy bear ... hopefully its gonna be a white one so that i can call him Chubby again . . .

Have you ever????

Have you ever tired being yourself? Have you ever wish that you can sometimes change your appearance and become someone else just for a moments? No worries and can do what ever you like.. This is how i really feel now... Why? I also don't have the answer . . . Sometimes, I wish that I can always be like a teddy bear...always be loved, been cared and been wanted in joy and sorrow. . . But life is never that simple . . .

Tonite, me and my teddy bear watch a movie entitled " The Green Mile"... Tom Hanks was the main actor and so many great actors . . . The story was really good and full of morale value. It one of the movie that can make me cry, yeah..i rarely cried watching a movie. . . Maybe it was the movie which make me thinking all this stupid things. What i really learned from the movie is that sometimes what others think its a gift but in reality its a curse for you. Dear all, please dont missed this movie... its on Astro now... Oh yeah, i can see tears in my teddy bear's eyes too...

Christmas is just near the corner, for all whose celebrating it... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! May your life is blessed and found hapiness in everything you do. That's the most important thing rite? Money and power wont last and help you through hard time. But happiness will lead you to a place close to heaven.

It's Finally Over ...

My PTK exam is finally over... I'm not quite confident with my performance but i really hope that i pass it even with not flying colors... Can't imagine to go through everything again..... Just like what i thought, the activities had drained all my energy level and i'm really not feeling very well today... So what i did was, curled up in a blanket and sleep the whole afternoon. How ever, i got an asignment to finished up before Tuesday and my groupmate is MIA . . . To much trust sometimes might hurt you...

On Saturday, i managed to pursue my teddy bear to visit our local zoo ... and gues what? he seems to be very happy to see his old friends there? Still can't guess it? It is an huge brown bear. hehheheh.... The visit do really re fresh my mind and make me really happy to spend hours walking with him . . . The bear was sooo huge and somehow not as cute as my teddy bear. They look little bit scary due to their size. Actually zoo is one of my favourite place to visit because i found my peace there. I'm thankful to my teddy bear for bringing me there eventhough it's not his favourite place. As compliments to his angelic attitude, we did go to his "candy story" to have a sneak peak about this new pda phone in the market. Teddy bear can't make his mind yet which model he want to buy, so we left the store wihtout buying anything.

Can't Wait Everything to End . . . .

Starting from Wednesday last week, i'm attending a course. It require me to stay up and give my best effort because at the ends of the day, there will be an examination. This course is crucial for my career advancement. But, my energy is drained with all the preparation and the individual presentation. Each presentation was evaluated by 3 panelists. I’m not sure how but I had this bad feeling that I’m not going to perform in this course….Its maybe may instinct and I really hope that it’s wrong… Can’t imagine to go through this exhausting courses again…. So dear all, please pray for my success!! Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Okay, stop about my self…. Back to our main story…my teddy bear…. Due to my busy schedule, we don’t have much quality time together since last week. Last Monday, my teddy bear went to visits at one of the hospital at southern part of our country. As usual, I can’t sleep at night and this indirectly effect my presentation the next day… I was sooo relieve when his back on the next day… How ever, before that ...my teddy bear do help me practising my public speaking session and it really help me. i felt more confident and delivered it nicely. Hope it can cover up my previous session which were not so good...

Friday is d day.... after that i planned to go somewhere with my teddy bear and have our quite weeksnd together... i'm sure teddy bear will miss his WOW but i really dont care much...just need a break and refresh my mind...

p/s: I just got my last semester result... i passed with flying colours.. at least its something to make me smile.....

A gift from teddy bear, make my day brighter

This morning i wake up to find a new tumb drive on my laptop. A gift from my teddy bear. even though is just a small gift but i really appreciate it.. who say my teddy bear has lost his romantic attitude? Teddy bear, thank you soooooooo much ...

Last weekend does not happened as what i planned... we did not went to our short holiday . . . the reason is because our new Tv has arrived and my brother in law had give him a collection of new japanese telemovie. So, for the whole 2 day my teddy bear and his brother spend their time in front of the tv. No doubt that it is a very interesting story and the hero is also cute. But it make me sooo bored doing nothing and spend my day at home. To my suprise, teddy bear voluntarily scarifice his WOW time for this movie.

Oh ya...we did go to my teddy bear favourite plae - Low yatt on Saturday to buy some stuff. Teddy bear almost bought a new lcd monitor but he changed his mind last minutes... Yeah, of course i had something to do with his decision.

A day without my teddy bear

After a busy weekend with the whole family, life start to be normal again . . . I really hope to spend more time with my teddy bear. Unfortunately, he's too busy or too tired to spend some time with me. He's try to catch up with his friend in the WOW game . . . If he's not playing the game, he would be sleeping . . . maybe the bad weather had made him soo tired. . . but i missed our private time together . . . i missed chatting with him and share our stories . . . sometimes i do wish that his computers is not functioning for the whole week. so that he can spend more time with me at nite . . . but when i think back, its not fair for me to stop him from doing wat he like . . but i'm hoping that we can spend more time this weekend..maybe go for a short holiday . . that's sound nice . . .hmmmm ... can't wait to tell my teddy bear about it ..

I saw this nice crystal of a teddy bear while surfing for my teddy bear pictures collection. Its really nice and unique and i want it.... i want it soo badly...but unfortunately...my country is not in their list of delivery. . . I'm hoping that one day i'll find it here . . till then, i have to satisfied with the picture . . .

What a wonderful weekend

As i mentioned before,the whole teddy bear's family was here and we did have a very nice weekend . . . we went to our favourite restaurant and shopping.... we also planned to visit orchid farm but the weather were not so nice to us... hehehe... it rained almost the whole day... even though i'm really tired to have more than 1 teddy bears at the same time... it has been a very wonderful time for us... what make me happy most is i really feel that i'm in the family... not an outsider anymore... i know it wont last forever but its something very memorable to me...

My teddy bear were like an angel during the visits... eventhough he had a bit of headache but it doesnt stop him from entertaining his family. Today, after we say goodbye to them.. my teddy bear create a new nest and hibernate for the whole day.... even though i really want to spend our time together alone... it seems that he deserved to rest as long as he need because of his supportive behaviour yesterday... he sleeps like a baby and i'm trying my best not to disturb my sleeping teddy . . .

How ever, something happened late this evening which overwhelmed all my happiness... it doesnt involve my teddy bear but more to my personal things.... i hate feelings this way coz it gonna bring back all the sad memory i left behind...

Quality time with my teddy bear

THis weekend, my mother in law is coming to visit us with his other son... So, this weekend the whole family of teddy bear gonna be here with me... mama bear.. and 3 brother bears . . its gonna a very interesting weekend for us . . We plan to bring them to our favourite eating place and of course shopping.... As i mention before, my neighbour is still renovating his house. . . and due to all the works...our house is really in a mess.... My vacuum cleaner is working and you can see dirts almost everywhere.... So, for the past few days, my teddy bear and i went to shopping and bought of new stuff for our house..of course it include a new vacuum for me... tomorrow...we plan to do all the cleaning .. yeah...I want to be at my best condition when my mother in law is here . . .

Tommorow, we also plan to buy a new small TV ( 14 inch.. now you believe me when i said a small tv?) our current TV had some problem with its visual... so..in the next few month i'm gonna get my new huge tv .... hehheheh.... so for the being...a small tv is more than enough for me . . . I love to go shopping with teddy bear because its one of the time where he gave full attention to me... or at least to what i'm saying... hehehh... so...its like our quality time together...especially in the car... with no disturbance from his WOW or Tv programs...

Teddy Bear Guys Nite

Tonite, my teddy bear hang out with his friends for dinner and left me alone at home. Actually its me who refused to follow him... I'm too tired to go out and need some time to distribute my questionnaires. In the afternoon, we went to our old friend's house and meet their gorgeous daughter.. I bet both of them are proud of her... Can't wait to have our own teddy bear junior... if its a a girl... i can bet you that she gonna have the best teddy bear collection in the world... hmmm...just wondering what if she does not like teddy bear like some of my friends daughter? its ok...i still gonna buy it and keep it to myself...

In this post... i really want to extend my greatest appreciation to my teddy bear for fulfilling most of his promises to me before the dateline. FYI, he also had anwered my questions in my previous post . . . he also had corrected me for spelling his character wrongly... To show how much i appreciate it..i would like to dedicated this cute picture to him.... its really cute rite?

Teddy bear quest continues

My teddy bear had started to continue with his WOW again. FYI, he had choosen a new character for his new quest... a sexy women than can transform herself to a bear.... hehheheh. . . honestly, i think this new characters had more impact on him compare to his previous character ... argyll... how ever, i think that argyll represent him more compare to a sexy women like ceasar ( not sure if the spelling rite... teddy bear, can you correct me if i'm wrong?)

As he started his quest again, unfortunately its mean that less time he gonna spend with me... since i'm quite busy distributing my questionnaires, it doesn't bother me that much . . . i really hope that we can spend more quality time together this weekend. . .
his toe seems to look much better even though it does not fully recovered yet. My knee still hurting me!!

Weekend with my teddy bear

As I mentioned before, my teddy bear had to work on Saturday.... How ever, on Sunday we went to our favourite restaurant in town with our old friend... We really love the restaurant sooo much because of its delicious dim sum... My favourite will be the chicken feet . . . and my teddy bear love almost everything there. . . How ever, our happy time is once again disturb by a call from the office. . . and my teddy bear had to go there to settle somethings. . . that what i hate most about his job...even though the salary is acceptable, the time they asked is sometimes too much... even at nite, he had to entertaint some of his client by aswering some really stupid technical questions that not related to his job. For me. money is not everything . . . and my teddy bear now start to feel the pressure . . . maybe its about time for me to find a new job for him... i really wish he got the government appoinment. . . or find another job . . .

My Teddy bear story . .

Today is the first day of my semester break... thinking of waking up late but the noise from my neighbour's new renovated house stopping me. Since our astro is still having a problem and i did not follow my teddy bear to his office... actually i had nothing to do beside updating this blog...

where should i start?? okay let me share with you the reason why i'm sooo fanatic about a teddy bear. When i was young, to be less favourable child in the family, the only gift that i ever get from my parents is a teddy bear. At that time, teddy bear means a lot to me... I still have the same happy feeling whenever i saw or bought new teddy bear. i shared most of my secrets with my teddy bear. My favourite teddy bear would be fluffy white or brown teddy bear. During that time, i never really have a choice. My parents only let me to choose once which teddy bear i like. As i grow up, i realize that there are variety colours of teddy bear that suit everybody preferences. How ever, white n brown teddy bear remain my top choice.

After i met my beloved husband, my life is full of hapiness and love. He does mean a lot to me. he changed my sad life to a wonderful life. Thats the main reason why i call him teddy bear. As my previous teddy bear bring me happiness, so does my husband!! For those who always been wondering what the heck this lady love about having a teddy bear. My story above will help you understand me better...
